DevOps outsourcing and cloud migration
We plan, automate and support your infrastructure on AWS and Azure: from Terraform configuration and CI/CD pipelines to a fully monitored Kubernetes cluster. If you need it, your data stays in EU regions such as Frankfurt am Main. You get a German-speaking contact, quotes in euro and a team in your working hours. Baku is only two to three hours ahead of Central European time.
Does this sound familiar?
- Deployments are manual, take hours and depend on the knowledge of a single person.
- Your infrastructure grew by hand in the web console over the years. Nobody knows exactly what each resource is for.
- You only notice outages when customers get in touch, because monitoring and alerting are missing.
- The monthly cloud bill keeps rising, but it is unclear which services are driving the costs.
- Your applications still run on your own servers or on legacy hosting, and the cloud migration keeps being postponed.
- Kubernetes is in place, but upgrades, scaling and troubleshooting stretch your in-house team.
- Data residency is unclear: where exactly is your data stored, and who has access to it?
How we work
Assessment and requirements analysis
We review your existing infrastructure, applications and workflows: how is software built and shipped today, where do costs arise, where are the risks? The result is a clear picture of the current state and a prioritised list of actions.
Target architecture and planning
We design the target environment (network, compute, databases, access rights, pipelines, monitoring) and pick suitable regions, for example Frankfurt. For a cloud migration we define the order in which systems move and a fallback plan for every step.
Delivery in two-week sprints
We build the infrastructure as code with Terraform, set up CI/CD pipelines and containerise your applications. At the end of each sprint we demo the result, so you can follow progress at any time and adjust priorities.
Go-live, handover and support
We accompany the go-live, train your team to work with the pipelines, cluster and monitoring, and hand over complete documentation. After that you get three months of free technical support. For ongoing operations, such as Kubernetes support, we agree an SLA.
What we deliver
- Infrastructure as code
- Your entire environment is described and versioned in Terraform. Changes go through pull requests and can be traced and reproduced, so test and production can have an identical setup.
- CI/CD pipelines
- Want CI/CD set up for you? We build pipelines with GitHub CI that automatically build, test and deploy on every change. Deployments become predictable and no longer depend on manual work.
- Containerisation and Kubernetes
- We package your applications in containers, set up Kubernetes clusters on AWS or Azure and take care of scaling, upgrades and secure configuration. On request, we also take over ongoing Kubernetes support.
- Monitoring and alerting
- We bring metrics, logs and alerts together so that problems become visible before they affect your users. Thresholds and notification channels are agreed with you.
- Cloud migration
- We move applications and databases step by step from your own servers or current hosting to AWS or Azure. We do trial runs, reconcile the data and agree the cut-over time with you.
- Cost review
- We analyse your existing cloud environment, point out unused or oversized resources and propose concrete measures that help you keep running costs under control.
- Data residency in the EU
- We set up your environment in EU regions, for example AWS Europe (Frankfurt) or Azure Germany West Central. If we process your customers' data in the course of the work, we sign a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR with you.
- Documentation and training
- Architecture, workflows and incident procedures are documented. Your team is trained so that it can develop the environment further on its own.
Technologies and platforms
Engagement models
How we bill depends on your project. All quotes are in euro, and every engagement starts with a free 30-minute initial consultation.
- Fixed price after requirements analysis
- For clearly scoped projects such as a cloud migration or setting up a CI/CD pipeline. After the requirements analysis you receive a fixed-price quote with a defined scope.
- Time & material
- For projects whose scope only becomes clear along the way, such as the gradual modernisation of infrastructure that has grown over time. You pay for the actual effort and keep track through the sprint demos.
- Dedicated team on a monthly basis
- For long-term DevOps outsourcing: a permanent team of DevOps specialists runs and develops your platform and works closely with your developers.
Frequently asked questions about Cloud & DevOps
What does DevOps outsourcing with DCL Labs include?
Depending on your needs, we take on individual tasks or the entire operation of your infrastructure: infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, Kubernetes, monitoring and cost reviews. You can start with a clearly scoped project and extend the collaboration into ongoing support later.
Can you take over and support existing Kubernetes clusters?
Yes. We first review your cluster's configuration, access rights, resource usage and upgrade status and document what we find. Then we take over Kubernetes support (upgrades, scaling, troubleshooting) on terms set out in an SLA.
Where will our data be stored?
Wherever you decide. We usually set up your environment in EU regions, for example in Frankfurt am Main on AWS or Azure. If we process personal data on your behalf, we sign a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
How does a cloud migration work without disrupting day-to-day operations?
We migrate step by step: first the target environment is built as code and tested, then the systems move one after another. Every step has a trial run, data reconciliation and a fallback plan. We agree the cut-over time with you, for example outside your business hours.
We only want CI/CD set up. Is that possible?
Yes, we are happy to take on smaller, clearly scoped assignments as well. We set up the pipeline in your existing repository, document it and show your team how to maintain it. For projects like this we usually offer a fixed price after a short requirements analysis.
Will we depend on you afterwards?
No. Infrastructure and pipelines live as code in your repositories and your cloud accounts, together with documentation. Your team or another provider can continue running the environment at any time.
How much does DevOps outsourcing cost?
That depends on the size of your environment, the scope of the tasks and the engagement model you choose. After a free 30-minute initial consultation and a requirements analysis you receive a concrete quote in euro.
How does collaboration work across the time difference?
Baku is three hours ahead of Germany in winter and two hours in summer. A normal German working day therefore overlaps almost entirely with our working hours. We reply to enquiries within 24 hours on working days, and you have a German-speaking contact.
