WEB & MOBILE DEVELOPMENT

Web and mobile app development with React, Next.js and Flutter

Looking to have a web app built, launch a customer portal or bring a mobile app to iOS and Android? DCL Labs builds web applications, portals, admin panels and cross-platform apps with React, Next.js, Flutter and TypeScript. We pay close attention to loading speed, accessibility to WCAG 2.1 AA and a clean layout on every screen. Our team is based in Baku, works almost entirely within Central European business hours and, where required, runs servers in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main.

Where our clients usually start

  • Your customers still send requests by email and phone because there is no customer portal where they can check orders, documents and status themselves.
  • Internal processes run on Excel sheets and isolated legacy tools. There is no admin panel that brings the data together.
  • You need an app for iOS and Android but do not want to maintain two separate codebases at twice the effort.
  • Your existing web application is slow, hard to use on a smartphone and not accessible to people with disabilities.
  • Your in-house team is at capacity and you cannot find experienced React or Flutter developers in time.
  • A previous supplier left code behind that nobody understands any more. No tests, no documentation, no clear architecture.

How we build your web or mobile app

  1. Discovery

We clarify goals, user groups, roles and interfaces to your existing systems. The result is a requirements document, a technical assessment, a roadmap and a risk analysis, which our proposal is based on.

  2. Design & architecture

We create clickable UI prototypes, the system architecture, the database schema and the API contract. You see how the application will feel before the first line of production code is written. Accessibility and responsive behaviour are planned in from the start.

  3. Development in 2-week sprints

We work in two-week sprints. At the end of each sprint we demo a working build in the browser or as a test version on your phone. Code reviews and automated tests are part of every sprint.

  4. Delivery & support

We handle go-live and publication on the App Store and Google Play, and train your team. You then receive three months of free technical support; for ongoing operation we offer an SLA agreement.

What we build

Web applications
Business applications that run in the browser, from internal tools to SaaS products. Built with React or Next.js in TypeScript.
Customer portals
Portals where your customers check orders, invoices and documents themselves. With secure sign-in, roles and a connection to your ERP or CRM system.
Admin panels and dashboards
Back-office screens for your team: master data, case handling, key figures. Roles make sure everyone sees only their part.
Cross-platform mobile apps
Apps for iOS and Android from one Flutter codebase. Push notifications, offline mode where needed, and publishing in the app stores.
Modernising existing applications
We take over existing front ends, analyse the code and move it step by step to a maintainable structure while your business keeps running.
Performance, accessibility, responsive design
Short loading times and good Core Web Vitals, implementation to WCAG 2.1 AA and a layout that works from smartphone to large monitor.

Engagement models

You receive proposals in euro and have a German-speaking contact. Which model fits depends on how clearly the scope of your project is defined today.

Fixed price after discovery
Once features and goals are settled, we calculate a fixed price after the discovery phase. You know in advance what the first version will cost and on what schedule we will deliver it.
Time & material
For products that evolve with feedback from your users, we bill for the actual effort. You set the priorities sprint by sprint.
Dedicated team
For longer-term work we provide a dedicated team, from one senior developer to a full team with a tech lead. Billed monthly.

In practice: MedClinic

MedClinic is a web system we developed for clinics, diagnostic centres and laboratories. It brings reservations, examinations, the cash desk and financial reports together in one panel, runs entirely in the browser and works on smartphones too. Role-based access means staff can accept payments, while cash desk totals and reports are visible only to management. Technically, MedClinic is built on ASP.NET Core 8 and PostgreSQL. We choose technology to fit the task, and not every business application needs a separate JavaScript front end.

Frequently asked questions about web and app development

How much does it cost to have a web app built?

It depends on the scope of features, the number of user roles and the interfaces to other systems, so we do not quote flat prices. After a discovery phase you receive a proposal in euro, either as a fixed price or as an estimate for time-and-material billing. In a free 30-minute initial consultation we work out which route makes sense for you.

Why Flutter instead of two separate native apps?

Flutter gives you a single codebase for iOS and Android. New features are developed and tested once and appear on both platforms at the same time. For most business applications this is more economical and easier to maintain. If your project needs deep platform-specific functionality, we discuss that openly during discovery.

How does outsourcing app development to a team in Baku work?

You have a German-speaking contact and see a working build in a demo every two weeks. Baku is three hours ahead of Germany in winter and two hours in summer, so a normal German working day overlaps almost completely with our working hours. Meetings take place during your office hours, not at night.

Do you build to WCAG 2.1 AA?

Yes. We take WCAG 2.1 AA into account from the start: sufficient contrast, full keyboard operation, a meaningful heading structure, alternative text and compatibility with screen readers. Since June 2025 the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) applies to many consumer-facing digital services. Whether your service falls under it is a legal question for you to check. The technical side is ours.

Where is our application's data stored?

On request we run your application in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Alternatively, we set up the infrastructure in your own AWS or Azure environment. If we process personal data on your behalf as part of the project, we conclude a data processing agreement with you under Art. 28 GDPR.

Can you strengthen our existing React team on a nearshore basis?

Yes. Alongside complete projects we offer team extension: senior developers, tech leads or whole teams who fit into your processes, tools and sprint rhythm. Nearshore React development with us means near-identical working hours, direct communication and proposals in euro.

Can you take over an application built by another supplier?

Yes. We start by analysing the code, architecture and dependencies and show you where the risks are and what should be tackled first. We then continue developing the application or modernise it step by step.

What happens after go-live?

After go-live you receive three months of free technical support. For maintenance, updates and further development after that, we agree an SLA that suits your operations.
